About Five Crows Photos

Mother and son-owned mobile photo booth, Five Crows Photos, has a very special family meaning.

Andrew's Grandma Barbara (Kari's mom) grew up with five sisters and three brothers. When Kari was growing up, whenever the sisters would see each other at any family gathering, or out in public, even when they would all go camping together,  the sisters would put their hands up to their mouths and "caw...caw..." to get each other's attention.  What started as an embarrassing way to call attention to each other (at least according to the children of the cawing aunties), has turned into a wonderful, loving memory that everyone in this large, close-knit family shares.

We decided that Five Crows Photos would be a perfect way to keep that memory alive, just like having your own photos of your family and friends will do. When you step into our vintage 1962 Winnebago Trailer to have your special memory photos taken, you will see pictures on the walls of these five special crows: Grandma Barbara, Rose Marie, Shirley, Pat, and Teresa.

We look forward to helping you create new memories of your special day and thank you for allowing our family memories to be a small part of your special celebration

Andrew

Andrew got his first camera in 2002, and has essentially never put it down. Now a video production and broadcast professional, Andrew never lost his love for analog film photography.

Andrew’s analog camera collection continues to grow, but he primarily shoots on a Nikon F5 and Nikon F100. Specialty cameras include the Nishika N8000 Stereo 3D Camera and his favorite Olympus point-and-shoot for that lo-fi, high-contrast feel.

Andrew also owns and operated Firwood Creative, a full-scale video and digital media production house.

Kari

Kari is the proud mom for four adult kids, Andrew, Kelsie, Lauren and Evan, and she is “Gemma” to her beautiful granddaughter, Ruby. She comes from a family of very creative people; both her mom Barbara and her sister Traci have owned their own businesses developing and making items to bring joy into peoples’ lives.

In addition to owing Five Crows Photos along with her eldest son Andrew, she also owns a small in-home machine embroidery business, The Old Button Jar. She has embroidered for over twenty years; among items that she sews, she specializes in custom designed hoodies, and also created custom branded clothing for local businesses.
